nambiti Overview

Nambiti Conservancy is a private Big Five bush retreat and game conservancy set on 20,000 acres of malaria-free bushveld in KwaZulu Natal. It has an incredible biodiversity including savannah, grasslands, thornveld and tall acacia trees. The Sundays River flows through the reserve and has two 40 metre waterfalls with magnificent ravine bush, home to several rare bird species.

We offer our guests a truly unique experience. Apart from the traditional, open-vehicle safari game drives where the big five and over thirty other species of game can be seen, our alternative activities include fishing and tours of the Battlefields.

There are currently three exceptionally well appointed stone and thatch lodges (Elephant Rock, Umzolozolo and Zintulo), and a new luxury tented safari camp (the Springbok lodge). All offer exquisite dining, an intimate bar, guest lounge, swimming pool and a Boma for an African flavoured meal served under the stars.

Nambiti is situated only 3½ hours from Johannesburg and 2½ hours from Durban. View the map for directions.
